Starting a career with the Fire Department of Campbell County has been nothing short of great. Having grown up in Gillette, I never thought one day I would work in the fire service.  After starting as a volunteer in South Dakota I knew I wanted to do this full time. Moving back to Gillette brought some change for the better. I began as a volunteer at CCFD then was able to get on full-time. Being able to give something great to a strong community is why we do it every day. The amount of knowledge, skill and experience dedicated to the fire service is unwavering. Now being a part of that, I am able to follow my peers through the ranks and help build a strong team. Nothing is more exciting than not knowing what the next emergency call could be.
